December Beauty Wishlist

The first item on my December Beauty Wishlist is the LancĂ´me La Vie Est Belle fragrance. I have a sample of this and it smells divine! I so want to get my hands on the full size version of sampling it!

I also have included some MAC Lip Liners in the shades Soar, Dervish and Whirl. These Lip Liners in the mentioned shades will complement the MAC Lipstick shades I already own and that are on my wishlist.

Speaking of MAC Lipsticks which are on my wishlist, I have added another two which are Honeylove and Twig. These are both nude and neutral shades which are perfect for me because anything colourful doesn't suit my lip shape.

I am really keen to get my hands on the Philip Kingsley Elasticizer, I have heard really good things about this product, particularly that it gives elasticity and really helps to nurture your hair especially if you have had colour.

I bought a cheap pair of eyelash curlers from Superdrug a few years ago; however I'm beginning to notice that they have now seen better days, in an ideal world I would love to own the SHU UEMURA Eyelash curlers because I feel that the quality would really give my lashes the curl I long for.

Lately I have noticed when using hair bands that they get knotted in my hair and it really hurts when trying to take my hair down. I really don't like the thought of what damage that is doing to my hair, so the Invisibobble Hair Band in Crystal Clear is the solution and is another item on my wishlist in December!

Recently I wrote a post about my Christmas Haul from Lush which you can read here if you've missed it! Shortly after I wrote the post I received a tweet from Lush suggesting that I use their Snow Fairy Body Conditioner with either the Father Christmas bath bomb or the Magic Wand Bubble Bar as these match together so I have added this to my list now!

That's it for my wishlist this month, let me know below what products you have your eye on?

Lush Christmas Haul 2016

I recently purchased some goodies from the Lush Christmas range! I wanted to share with you what I picked up and my initial thoughts of them.

Firstly I picked up the Father Christmas bath bomb (£3.75). This product is shaped like a Father Christmas head and is super festive! I actually bought this bath bomb last year and used it on Christmas Eve to really get me in the mood for Christmas. It's really sweet smelling, and when placed in the bath turns the water a red and green colour.

The next item I bought was an item I don't recall seeing in previous years Lush Christmas range. It's the Christmas Penguin bubble bar (£3.95) which is so adorable it'll be a shame to use it! I love the Lush bubble bars as I think they're such good value for money and I always manage to get lots of bubble baths out of them! This bubble bar sounds as if it's an uplifting product to use in the bath because it contains Sicilian lemon and mandarin oils and sweet bergamot which will be refreshing to use.

I also picked up another bubble bar, Santasaurus (£5.95). This bubble bar is basically a dragon wearing a Santa’s hat on a stick, how cute! I admit a lot of the products I bought were because they looked cute but how can you resist? This bubble bar contains Brazilian orange and bergamot oil so this sounds like it is a fresh scent to use.

Peeping Santa (£3.95)
is also a bubble bar I couldn't resist. This makes for a very indulgent bubble bath on those cold winter nights and contains lots of lovely ingredients such as Shea butter, cocoa butter, bergamot and geranium oils.

The next bath bomb in my haul is Star Dust (2.95). The bath bomb looks incredible as when it is placed in water there is an explosion of different coloured glitter stars in your bath. The ingredients contain vanilla and bergamot oil so this should be a relaxing addition to a nice long hot soak!

The last bath bomb I chose was Butterbear (£1.95). This is another luxurious product, as it contains cocoa butter and ylang ylang which not only makes for a relaxing bath, it will also be good for my skin!

Last but not least is the final bubble bar in my haul which is Magic Wand (£5.95). If you like the shower gel Snow Fairy that Lush also sell, you'll love this bubble bar. The scent is a sweet smell, and turns the colour of the bath water pink.

Let me know what you think of the Lush Christmas range and if you have tried anything?

Charlotte Tilbury Goddess Skin Clay Mask Review

A few months ago I decided to make my first Charlotte Tilbury beauty product purchase. I've been watching Charlotte's videos on YouTube for a long time and have always admired the products that she has created and uses to master her makeup looks.

One of the products that caught my eye while watching a tutorial was the Goddess Skin Clay Mask. This is a face mask created by Charlotte to be used before applying makeup to ensure that you are 'red carpet ready'. The mask is based on a Mediterranean beauty recipe, and contains Spanish clay and sweet almond oil with nourishes the skin and delays signs of skin ageing. The Goddess Skin Clay Mask has very much been designed as an anti ageing product and the ingredients reflect this, one of the ingredients being BioNymph Peptide Complex. It also contains essential oils to hydrate your skin and prevent it from feeling dry or stripped of any goodness. Lastly, Frangipani flower extracts provide the skin with antiseptic properties leave you feeling as soft as a baby.

Speaking of my own experiences using this product, I have been extremely impressed. The first thing to strike me when using the mask is that it's not a heavy texture, it's a really light texture, and when placed on the face it doesn't even feel like you are wearing a face mask, especially so as you are advised by Charlotte to use a thin layer. I feel like this is important because actually, do you really want your face to feel heavy when you are pampering it?

I adore the scent of the mask too; it smells floral and really refreshing and relaxing. Again, I'm so pleased that as well as the texture being light, the scent is too.

In terms of usage of the mask, like I said previously you only need to apply a thin layer of the product onto your face. However when applying the product, Charlotte advises you to follow her wonder workout massage technique, again this helps to prevent ageing. Once the mask has been applied, you have 10 minutes to sit back and relax, before removing the mask with a flannel (I use a muslin cloth) and hot water.

The product leaves you with such soft skin, and reduced pores. I feel like it is important to point out that this is not a face mask that will make your face feel tight and stop you talking for 10 minutes while you have it on your face! That's something else I really love about it, but actually I just love it all round.

The mask is on the pricey side at £45.00; however I only use this once in a blue moon as an absolute treat, and then use my usual face mask at all other times. If you are considering purchasing this mask then I can say that it is definitely worth it.

Let me know if you have tried this face mask?

November Beauty Wishlist

Welcome to my November wishlist! I can't believe Christmas is only next month, this year has flown by! As I do each month I'm going to go through what's on my Beauty wishlist for this month.

I've seen and heard lots of good things about the L'Oreal Pure Clay Masks (Purity, Detox, and Glow), I love a face mask so I'm really interested to find out what effects using any of these masks have to my skin.

I'm loving the look of the Benefit Brow Kits too, Benefit is one of my favourite makeup brands and I have really enjoyed using the Goofproof eyebrow pencil recently as it has made sculpting and filling in my eyebrows so easy. The whole brow range from Benefit looks impressive and I'd really like to find out how I get on with one of their kits.

Another product I have heard lots of good things about is the Viktor and Rolf Bonbon perfume. The scent of this perfume has been described by Youtuber/Blogger Louise Pentland aka Sprinkle Of Glitter as what she imagines Heaven to smell like. What makes this perfume even more impressive is that the bottle is in the shape of a bow which is just too cute!

Recently I have discovered a new found love for lipsticks, in particular, nude coloured lipsticks by MAC. One of the lipsticks which are currently on my Christmas wishlist is the MAC Velvet Teddy shade. This is really natural and is one of the most popular nude lipsticks.

Lastly on my wishlist for this month are the L'Oreal False Lash Sculpt and the L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes So Couture mascaras. I have been watching Youtuber/Blogger Lydia Elise Millen who swears by this mascara combo to get her lashes looking so full and voluminous. Having seen the results of using these mascaras, I definitely want to give this duo a go!

That's it for my wishlist this month, let me know below what products you have your eye on?
